Advance Steel allows users to add to the profiles library, which is used in the "Side rails outside" joint.
To add new profiles to the library, access the "Astor Rules.mdb" database from
C:\ProgramData\Graitec\AdvanceSteel\2010\Steel\Data\AstorRules.mdb.
In the "AstorRules.mdb" database select the "SideRailCProfiles" table.
In this table enter data in the 3 columns: "Key", "RunBezeichnung" and "Profile".
The "Key" column represents the index of the profile. This index is not very important and can be any number as long as it is unique.
The "RunBezeichnung" column is the name of the profile that appears in the interface.
The "Profile" column must contain the profile type and the section class. This can be done using the following rules:
For example, to add a profile HEA 200, type "HEA nach DIN#@§@#HEA200".
HEA nach DIN#@§@#HEA200 represents:
HEA nach DIN is "Type Name Text" and this information can be found in "Profile Master Table" in the "Astor Profiles.mdb" database;
#@§@# is an operator needed in the table to link the two strings;
HEA200 is the name of the section. This exact name can be taken from the profile table in the "Section Name" column in the "Astor Profiles.mdb" database.
Each section class has a table and the name of this table can be taken from "Profile Master Table" in the "Astor Profiles.mdb" database.
The new section will appear in the joint properties.
