Manual cut views allow the placement of additional sections in addition to the ones generated automatically by the drawing style. This intersection views have the advantage that the cut plane is defined by the user. Thus, through these intersections, the user can obtain profile sections along the system axis or obtain oblique sections of an object attached to a main part.
After the "Create view/section" (1.) command is launched, the user can choose to create the section using a default view or select any other view from the "Request list". To open the view selection menu the user must type the "R" letter on the command line (2.). The "Request list" menu (3.) is separated in 2 categories: "Advance" and "User", same as in the "Drawing Style Manager".
The default views, used to create the sections, can be modified from the "Defaults\Drawing-General" menu inside the "Management Tools" application. The defaults that control these options are:
⇒ Default view request for manual cut views (Advance): this default sets the detail view style, from the Advance category, used for the manual cut views.
⇒ Default view request for manual cut views (User): this default sets the detail view style, from the User category, used for the manual cut views.
To modify the properties, representation style or dimensioning style of a view, in the "User" category, the following steps must be followed:
2. Open one of the subcategories from the "User" section, select a drawing style and launch the "Copy" command. Make a copy of that drawing style, with another name, by clicking the "OK" button.
Once the drawing style contains the default manual cut view, the view's properties, representation style or dimensioning style can be changed.
