How to create manual weld label without showing the weld thickness, (i want to label some welds only with their type)

Hello Mile,

If you are using Advance Steel on its own CAD platform, go to "Labels & Dimensions" ribbon, then Parametric labels > Insert weld symbol

If I understand your question properly, just enter 0.0625 for the weld size and it will give you a symbol with no weld size.

Hi Mile,

The only way I found to have the weld type and surface shapes without the text is to remove the actual weld from the model. You also have the option to create your own symbols as blocks. I would select the symbol that is most used and explode it remove the text (1/4) and save it as a Wblock  for later use or create the symbol as a block within the drawing.

Hope this helps,

Best Regards,

Hi Mile,

you are right, AS does not show weld size for welds with default size, which is set in Defaults.
