Controlling where the signature text is input on a dxf plate file?
Hi Mike,
It is possible to change the location of the signature text in Advance steel. You can change it from the GAM (2014) Graitec Advance Management or from the ASMT (2015) Advance Steel Management tools.
1. Open the GAM/ ASMT got to Default
2. Select use filter and type Si in the field
3. Select the Structured list NC then the sub heading DStV NC&DXF
4. Uncheck Automatic arrangement for NC signature from the Property Name column
5. You will be able to manipulate the position of the text in the X and Y positions from the Position X/Y for SI blocks. See attached print screen.

Labels keep in place or lock the location after update a drawing
Hi Pete,
You can change the labeling position of your elements. Depending, on what Drawing Style and what sort of object you are labeling for example: Mp – Beam, AttBea,… you are using in the Drawing Style Manager (DSM).
- Open theDrawing Style Manager and under Drawing styles select the drawing style you are using.
- Select the Object Presentation then the type of model object you are using that you want to change the labeling position of.
- Take note of the Labelling Strategy used, For example we will use : Section Name S1”GuidG
- On theDrawing Style Manager and under Labeling strategies look for “Section Name S1”GuidG”
- Select the Arranger control under “Section Name S1”GuidG” andin the window to the left, Select “Arrange in object center”

TC GUN clearance
Hi Pete,
When using the clash Check Tool you have the option to select the items you want. If you just select the tool it will check the complete model. I have info that might be useful for you. You can use the GAM Graitec Advance Manager to adjust the collision control. Open the GAM and type check in the Use Filter field. You can change the values of the Collision control under General. See attached print screen.
I have attached a link which will give you more information.
Best Regards,
Janet

Labels keep in place or lock the location after update a drawing
Hi Pete,
For the moment there is not. There is multiple view positions for the Detail View label positions, however only two choices for the Cut view. See print screens attached. Perhaps that might change in the future. For a quick fix you could put the labels on a separate layer and use the AutoCAD M text command to create your own labels.
Best Regards,
Janet

What does "Inversed" from Member Condition drop-down box mean?
Hi Denny,
I think inverse refers to the orientation of the column flange in relation to the connect beam.
For example see the attached screenshots. In figure 1 note the orientation of the column, however in figure 2 the column is orientated at 90º (inversed).

Janet

Green frames around detail
Hi Greg,
The frame around the detail is controlled by the scale of the detail. You can however control the space around the detail through the GAM but the detail clipping will be affected. I have attached a print screen of the GAM where you can change these values.

AS 2015
Hi Greg,
Regrettably the issue is still unsolved. Until such time I suggest you create a custom connection. As per you request, I have attached a print screen of the cantilever beam over a pipe column with a Gable wall end plate connection.
For the moment I can suggest creating a custom connection for a quick fix. Please send an email to Support.americas@graitec.com
for the documentation.
Best Regards,
Janet Black
